Christmas!  I cannot believe Christmas is in one week. I know we all say that, but, man! It really snuck up on me. It finally got cold in Austin, which contributes nicely to the holiday feel. The tree is up, there’s a little baking to be done, and most presents are bought. Whew. At the snails pace I am moving these days, that’s no small feat.   The Sufjan Stevens Christmas album is being played often, along with John Fahey’s instrumental Christmas one.  Good stuff. Here’s our little tree (makes the house smell good too!):


Fiestaware ornament! Who could have given me that??


Why only the biggest Fiestaware lover in the world- Denise Brown! I have several of these beauties in different colors- I treasure them all.


Can’t rember where I got this guy, but oh how I love him! So much so that I assigned him to be the official tree topper.

It’s coming together

Been putting some finishing touches on the little one’s room. Its looking really cute. Still have a few more things to hang, but here are a few pix to give you an idea……



Ta-da! Curtains that Marie made for us. They came out perfect. We love them! We got the dresser off Craigslist- it was a great deal.  It’s old and very good quality wood- not like some of the cheaply made “changing tables” that are super expensive in the baby stores. Wayne painted it ivory to match the crib my boss gave me.




Wayne picked this up at an antique store  on his road trip with Anna this summer- I love it!
